Marketplace · rights-cleared work, license-ready

Music with the rights already done. Buyers walk away with the license.

Every listing on the Suede marketplace is registered on Base, has explicit license terms attached, and ships with a programmable royalty path. Buyers see the rights before they pay; artists collect on settlement; nothing is left in legal limbo.

How a listing flows

Five steps from upload to a fully-cleared, settled license.

Marketplace listings sit on top of the same proof-of-creation pipeline that powers the registry and vaults. Every listing produces a sealed work ID, an attached license template, and a programmable royalty route — before the first buyer arrives.

  1. 01Artist lists the work

Pick a track, attach a license template (sync, sample, master), set the price.

  2. 02Rights checked on Base

Listing is bound to the work's registry entry. Ownership and splits verified on chain.

  3. 03Buyer pays in USDC

Settlement on Base. Buyer receives the license token; artist receives the proceeds.

  4. 04Splits route automatically

Programmable royalty rails distribute proceeds to every recipient on the split.

  5. 05License travels with the work

Same work ID covers DSP delivery, sync placements, and downstream verification.

The marketplace does not retain a license. It routes proof, terms, and proceeds — the work stays the artist's, the license stays the buyer's, the contract stays the rule.

What a listing carries

Every listing ships with the rights ledger already attached.

About the Suede Marketplace

The marketplace surface is intentionally narrow because the heavy lifting — ownership checks, license attachment, royalty routing, and settlement — happens automatically beneath every listing. Buyers shop. Artists collect. The contract handles the rest.

Why holding SUEDE matters here

The marketplace side has its own SUEDE utility surface. Three live levers that shape buyer fees, listing visibility, and royalty distribution.

Lever 1

Hold $500+ SUEDE, pay zero buyer fee

Marketplace settlements carry a 1% protocol fee in USDC. The fee is waived for any buyer holding $500 or more in SUEDE at settlement time, mirroring the vault deposit waiver.

A $5k sync license pays $50 or zero. Frequent buyers end up with SUEDE in wallet.

Lever 2

Featured slot for SUEDE-staking artists

Artists who stake SUEDE in their listing pool surface in the Featured rail and the top of search. Ladder mirrors the T0–T4 weights used elsewhere on the platform.

Higher stake, higher placement. Real product demand for the token.

Lever 3

Higher-yield royalty kicker on every settlement

Listings owned by SUEDE-tier holders at settlement time get a kicker on the buyer's gross — same kicker structure as the investor T2/T3/T4 yield bonuses on the vault side.

  • T2 $500 – $5k +5%
  • T3 $5k – $50k +15%
  • T4 $50k+ +30%

T4 artists net up to 30% more on every license. Demand from creators, not speculators.
