Overview

What is Suede?

Suede Labs AI builds creative tools, social products, musician apps, and paid agent workflows.

The short version

Suede Labs AI builds connected products for making, sharing, and working with creative media. The current product family includes Studio, Suede Social, Agent Studio, Strumly, Muse, and other focused creator tools.

The problem Suede exists to solve

Creation, collaboration, distribution, and payment often live in separate systems. Each handoff is a place where context about source files, contributors, permissions, and intended use can get lost.

AI made this worse in two directions at once. Generative models can produce finished-sounding work at volume, which makes provenance the scarce thing rather than the audio itself. And software agents are becoming buyers: they discover work, evaluate it, and pay for it without a human in the loop. An agent cannot read a PDF contract or wait for a licensing desk to email back. It needs rights and pricing it can parse, and a way to pay that settles in seconds.

Suede's position is that creators should preserve source context early and that software should describe its permissions and payment requirements plainly.

What Suede is not

Suede does not grant copyright, adjudicate ownership, replace legal advice, or guarantee that a published permission will be enforced. A file fingerprint or creator claim can support an evidence trail, but neither proves authorship or ownership by itself.

The surfaces

Suede ships as a set of connected products rather than one monolithic app:

  • The Workspace at app.suedeai.ai: studio, library, marketplace, rewards, and creator tools.
  • Suede Social at social.suedeai.ai: a social network where the work people share carries its rights context.
  • Agent Studio at agents.suedeai.ai: build agent flows visually and publish them as pay-per-call endpoints.
  • Strumly and Muse: an AI guitar coach and a musician companion, the practice-room end of the ecosystem.
  • IP Registry registration is live on Base and Avalanche mainnet; the registry records provenance and issues no licenses. Read the proof-of-creation framework for the evidence boundaries.

Who builds it

Suede Labs AI is built and run in public by Jason Colapietro, a solo founder. The company publishes what it ships, links to live product rather than decks, and keeps its claims inspectable. If a docs page describes something as early or in progress, that is exactly what it means.
